Carrier Star Wing | UEE Pathfinders

The Carrier Star Wing (designation CVW-11) is the coalition of three squadrons that comprise the fleet. Athena Squadron (SQN) is the flight school for all new arrivals to CVW-11 who join as either Fleet Cadets or Flight Cadets depending on their final squadron selected posting. All pilots within CVW-11 are considered Naval Aviators.

Outlaw SQN is the fixed-wing arm of CVW-11, with every pilot first and foremost a starfighter pilot. These pilots, known as Wingmen, will specialize in dogfighting and will be found in 1-2 seater equipped vessels mostly. They are the rapid response to immediate threats.

Trident SQN consists of Starmen that crew gunships, corvettes and battleships. This squadron focuses on larger multi-crew combat and logistics taskings, bringing the flying battleships to the fight and keeping the 7th Carrier Strike Group flying.

Both squadrons can cross-train eachothers specializations, but priority in role is given

to the squadron specialist available.

a Flight Cadet > Athena Training > Outlaw SQN

a Fleet Cadet > Poseidon Training > Trident SQN

Athena Squadron is the Flight School for Wingmen training to be starfighters (using 1-2 seater vessels such as the Hornet) focusing on dog fighting & light-role specializations (dropship, CAS). You can train later on support tasks (i.e., Fleet Engineer).

Poseidon Squadron is the Gunnery, Damage Control & Engineering School for the multi-crew focused gameplay within the Carrier Strike Group. Select this for Fleet Support Duties. You can train to become a Helmsman later to fly the large multi-crew ships.
